I remember Humbrol Grass Green from my old enamel days (that's when I had enamel on my teeth, as well as on my brush!). I used to find one coat was enough, but then that was the 1980s, when paint was paint, rather than coloured water.....

Humbrols were reformulated primarily for spraying, I guess because acrylics are now the dominant the brush painting option.

Just finished some Spanish musketeers for 1588, started on the English militia horse and some so-called 'gentlemen'.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Yes, I noted that, eternal adding of thinners required to keep the paint from recasting the toys as belisha beacons whilst still applying more than a stain.
