I found that happened quite a lot when I was selling off a lot of books via amazon. I think a lot of traders use an app that sets the price stupidly high when there are very few copies available - meaning that the market rate is pulled up when further sellers add copies.

I've heard a couple of theories for this phenomenon - one is that it's to do with illegal money-laundering. The second is that they're artificially inflating the value of their stock to make the value of the business appear higher. Do you remember how the price for Skytrex tanks went through the roof just before the business was sold?

Nahh, it is a simple con, they make it look like near prices, but with the decimal point moved, if you are unwary it is not hard to miss that it is 550.00 not 55.00

I'm never that unwary, even first thing in the morning with a pulsating head.
