Love/Hate

Post by Jeremy »

What is you favourite period AND scale to paint, and which do you hate?

For me:
Love: 28mm Ancients/Dark Ages
Hate: 28mm ‘civilians’ after 1900 (so Zombie survivors, Resistance, VBCW, etc). I have poor dress sense and even worse when trying to think how Miniatures should dress

Easy solution for the zombie problem. Set the game in Whitby on a Gothic weekend. Everyone's wearing black but you may need to model the platform soles.

I thought all Saffers had no dress sense, my maths teacher wore a selection of jackets that got darker as the week progressed.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

Did anyone else find the term "going postal" entering their head?

Love: 15mm/28mm H&M (anything with firearms up to about 1850/1860 - after that, hmmm.......not so much)
No interest: ACW, Colonial, "deep" Ancients (ie pre-Dark Ages)
Hate: Zombies, Sci-FI, Fantasy (magic variety)
