Xenos Rampant

Post by levied troop »

Came across this on LAF and was rather intrigued:
https://richardcowen.files.wordpress.co ... ant-v1.pdf

As it says, a Lion Rampant version for sci-fi. Intriguing in that I have Hasslefree Grymn (unpainted) and those Japanese Mak power suits (pre-painted) that I was always intending to use for skirmish and now might have a life as a bigger game.

Also intriguing in that the Lion Rampant engine appears to be strong enough to reflect any period in history (or beyond). Does that make it a millennial version of DBA, which has had a number of simple adaptions over the years?
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Dave was doing something along the same lines - with spell effects translated as high tech. I think he's had some trial; games already

I am not overly keen on Xenos Rampant. I think that W2Ds sci fi version of the rampant engine is better! I looked at both (and many others) before deciding to re write my homegrown 6mm rules for 15mm. But if you want a bit of Rampant Sci fi Daves yer man.

COTOTS will try to forgive you for this apostasy my son, but you realise that your ghoulies will be barbecued and fed to you in little strips for eternity?

What does COTOTS mean? I'm seeing it everywhere here. Is it something to do with 6mm? Those little blobs that look like the contents of Metal Mickey's kercheif?

COTOTS will forgive you after you have spent an eternity squatting on the coals of hell with your ghoulies roasting upon the same.

I’ve been married for two decades and have two children. Goolies we’re surgically removed many, many years ago
