I remember that photo. Seen that with bulldozers too. You hand the operator a shovel and say "See you in a week" Then rush off and organise people machines and what have you.

The trouble you always have is that, sometimes, a tracked vehicle can bottom and pull itself out of the most amazing holes, it's all a question of do you run out of slop or height first.
