Somewhat annoyingly my local model shop is still waiting on an order for Testors Dullcote after three weeks so I can't finish off the Redshirts I've been painting. To add insult to injury the weather today is gorgeous :wall:

Still, making progress with the monastery. This is the exterior walls base coat/s completed, I think I'll need to pick out individual stones and the decoration on the gatehouse, but I probably ought to tidy up the interiors and flagstones first:

The grey bits on the walls are where buildings will butt up against each other but at the moment it's easier to paint them as separate chunks.

Found some great images of Palermo during the fighting in 1860:

I think my game will be more rural, but really tempted to go 'big city' on this.
