This all went a bit quiet............well, stone dead really.
I wonder if it's worth thinking along the lines of a far distant date, to give time for proper planning?

Re: LAW Holiday!
That’s a very good idea.
Is there any synergy with the Crisis trip idea ?

Re: LAW Holiday!
I think so. Not being retired, leave is at a premium for me as I have to reserve some for family. I can either do an extended Crisis or a LAW holiday. I’d prefer Crisis, combined with some WW2 battlefield sightseeing as well as Waterloo. I’m thinking 3 or 4 days at this point.goat major wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 10:40 am That’s a very good idea.

Unless you're going to use it as a recce for a longer visit in the future, I'll warn you now that you could very easily spend all of those 4 days just visiting the Waterloo battlefields. And still not see everything.

The Crisis tie-in does sound good.
Need to check the 2019 (or 2020!) dates.

.. which don't seem to be available yet.
Re: LAW Holiday!
I would guess a year from this weekend just past?
Re: LAW Holiday!
I'd already forgotten about Crisis. Yes, great idea to make Crisis the first one.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I'm retired. Loads of time to holiday and party. Time rich. Money? Not so much.

Jaysus, if only.

Yes, retirement is normally a result of great age. And great age does naturally lead to forgetfulness
