Mats

Post by Jeremy »

I’m after a mouse pad type material mat, not large, maybe 2’ x 2’ in cobblestone pattern. Not expensive as I plan to cut it up for roads for my villages. Any ideas? I suppose other material would do as well....

Vinyl flooring? There are suitable patterns and you might be able to get an offcut or sample.
Or download a printable 'texture' and stick it onto card.

Thanks Paul. Didn’t know you could download a printable texture? I’ll have a look.

Maybe I’ll nip into B&Q and see what they have....

You can also get textured card & plasticard roadways from the model railway companies eg faller https://www.faller.de/App/WebObjects/XS ... -film.html

I always prefer bosses in a satin finish. Makes them appear softer, even if they aren't.
