Storage units...

Post by Norman D. Landings »

....ever considered it?

I lack a garage or a shed, and I can’t escape the feeling that the long-overdue & oft-promised “General Sort Out” would be far easier conducted off-premises in a clear working space.

Or... does that way lie madness?

Your thoughts, gentlemen?

madness, as you will then think, if I put a table in here I can game and no clearing and sorting out will happen. Best thing to do is ship all your stuff to me, I will sort it and return the important stuff back to you....

I’m not sure you’ll have much desire to game in a storage unit, never mind be allowed to. It depends on how big a unit you’re looking for. I put all my stuff in a shipping container last time I moved and moved it out piece by piece. It took some time and I’m certain it didn’t help me ‘get sorted’.

The only way to ‘get sorted’ is to ........... start. If Fred’s too busy I’m happy to help
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

I've got space in my garage and am only about 90mins away from you...….depending on how much space you need of course.

There's an offer you can't refuse.

No, I think that's the one relating to concrete espadrilles.

As distinct from the offer you very much should refuse, which is an invite to Purps place on a Tuesday night!

Well, it didn’t take long for this to get weird!
There’s a self-storage place just round the doors from me, which advertises everything from PO Boxes to warehousing. One of their options is described as ‘small shed’, which I reckon sounds big enough to sit down and sort stuff in.
Be handy to stop by after work and turn large disparate boxes into smaller, more orderly boxes.
Mmmm... boxes...

I could, y’know... all the hush-money from Big Pharma for the cures we’ve suppressed.

You could try and develop a market for pet minotaurs.
