Xmas holiday projects

Post by goat major »

Christmas is of course a traditional time for locking yourself in a room with toy soldiers, booze and quality street and emerging a week later with some sort of project progress.

What are you going to be working on over Xmas to avoid having to talk to uncle Stanley about his new socks ?

For me it will be shinying my 1866 Austrians, painting a few more VBCW figures and Dremelling some old hoplites.

VBCW and various odds and ends for WW2. Oh, and mastering my air brush. That may or may not be a euphemism

Still seems a novelty to me to get time off at Christmas (one of my pet peeves is how the frontiers of science only get pushed back on a Mon-Fri 9-5 basis cause nobody’s willing to stump up for out-of-hours research)

I’ll be on my jack over most of the hols because herself will be out cutting people up.
I assume it’s for work, I didn’t ask.

Got nothing planned toy soldier-wise.
Been meaning to gussy up some of my terrain for ages... I could do that I suppose.

I put a little order in Baccus for a test paint and was going to try get another order in before Xmas if I got on with them but they seem to, to have gone to Saudi or be locked in a deserted Royal Mail depot.
I’ll probably finish off all the VBCW figures I’ve got.

But will hopefully get some solo games in of things

This will be my first Xmas day off in 8 years so I can’t really remember what you’re supposed to do.

I’m not sure my Girlfriends family would welcome an aggressive thrust on Silesia. 🤔
