Unfortunately very little NHS contraband is of any use on the Wargames table.
Out-of-code pethidine gives a nice mellow buzz, though.

Rough terrain made from an NHS towel: 1/2 movement, roll for hepatitis.
Re: Xmas holiday projects
For Naval games we used the towels marked ‘Hepatitis C’ ....

These water towers are repurposed sputum specimen jars (don't worry, they're unused).
Norm may be the reason why pethidine is largely unavailable these days...

Dreadful stuff, they gave it to me when I broke my collarbone and I puked for four hours. Only half a dozen beers revived me.

It does that the first five or six times. You’ve really got to stick at it.
Et, your ‘water towers’ reminded me - we get lovely little IV administration kits for human clotting factor, which come in sturdy, multi-compartment vacuformed plastic trays.
I have to dig one out and post a pic - they’re perfect 15mm SF buildings.
Surplus clinical kit is not without its uses.
When we changed from stainless steel to plastic disposable surgical kit, I flogged a rucksack-full to a friend-of-a-friend who had a fetish gear shop down Pink Lane.

When I broke my arm in a bush camp I drank rum, 8 bottles in three days, until the weather cleared for the chopper.
The doc was pretty impressed with my splinting.
