You have brought out the nostalgia element in those. I well remember painting like that early on in my wargaming days, although I didn't gloss varnish the bases. Very nice.

I've just finished tarting up and basing some Soviet stuff which I should be flogging imminently. First stuff I've done for weeks and weeks.. Should give me spendies for Battleground.
