Siena still has it's Renaissance walls,& it's only an hour or so from Florence in the car. A lovely part of the world.

Yes agreed Venice is great - have an excellent time Tim.

One of people's favourite things about Venice is just to wander and get lost. Iain this must have been a bit of a busman's holiday for you ?

Venice is my favorite city ever. My best holiday was Rome, Florence and Venice all in once trip. It was incredible.

The sprung floor in the Doges palace is a bit creepy. Especially when you have a hangover

Sounds great Tim, the Arsenal museum (fortunately nothing to do with that London football lot) in Venice is worth a visit!
