It’s this level of contradiction and phalus orientated swaying that has led me avoid any sort of varnishing for years.

I recommend an enamel varnish. If you have a properly cluttered workbench and are multi-tasking, the fumes from the varnish and white spirit work nicely with those from super glue and bostik to take the wargaming experience to new highs...

In many ways varnishing figures seems to be a lot like Japanese orgy pornography.
You’re all coming at it from different directions but largely achieving the same thing 🤔
Something to think about anyway.

I'd definitely take the Count's advice before going to a Japanese orgy.

I struggled for 25 years to get a matt varnish with enamel

I use 'Montana' matt spray varnish. Absolutely brilliant.

Unnecessary? No marching band is complete without a Euphemism or two. Frederick would not be impressed.

Testors Dullcote is the only varnish that I will ever use on my figures again. After the disaster that was my Spanish Horse Artillery, I am not saving a few cents on garbage.

Every band should have a euphemism or two, preferably dressed in a Kanban.

We'd be remiss not to mention tea bagging.
