Thanks gentlemen, I was a bit skeptical whether I would enjoy working at this scale. But, I think I may have had a painting epiphany here. Easy to paint the unit no the man. Barton's pretty much ruined that for me at 18mm, since his stuff is just as detailed as many 28s. They paint quickly, and I'll finally get the 'look' I want for a Horse and Musket battlefield and formations.

They are very nice indeed. A whole battalion is going to look stunning.

I started doing some 6mm SYW for Charles Grants the War Game before I got immersed in collecting classic Napoleonics

For basing I used my normal fine sand and then added Javis flock and a bit of diced up woodlands scenic turf and the odd rock.

I also gloss varnish as this brightens up the figures.

Very nice, but those rocks are a bit of a trip hazard.
