What sort of army size (in terms of WAB points) are people aiming for?

As I seem to have fallen into this I'll be aiming for about 2500-3000 Version 2 points. This is about the same as 2000 point armies for V1/1.5 according to the blurb. But I only have a V2 list for the army I'm looking at

Should be fine, I have my Alexander book, somewhere, but I cannot find it, so no clue what points I have.

I've no idea about points values, but I'm expecting 3 or 4 heavy infantry units, a couple of javelin units, some archers and slingers.

Plus a Panzer division of chariots led by Achilles.
