I've never played them, so they wouldn't be my choice. I plan to create a force that's rules neutral. Personally I'll use Hail Caesar and a Lion Rampant variant.
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.

The only reason I ask is that i've had a read through tonight, for the first time in years, and they do seem a bit 'clunky' now. Old fashioned and not in a good 'shiny' sort of way :)
I used to love them and was 'fully immersed' for about 10 years after emerging from the fug of DBM, but now...….

I’m with Gary, I’m also going basing neutral. They’ll be used for HC which is all they play down the club, but between Jamie and I, we’ll probably play TTS.

And the used command and colours napoleonic game sold for more than you can buy it new. What the duck is wrong with people?
Either these things are out of stock where you can 'buy' them, people really are dumb or you're not using Ebay the right way :)
No you can find all each one else where for cheaper than they sold.
I assume people get some sort of competitive rage when they were bidding. 🤔

Re rules. This is a shared project space so people should just do what they want.

I’m doing WAB because it’s exactly what I wanted - I was after old school rules and the way hero characters are handled. Plus I want to also play WFB. using movement trays it will all work with with Rampant, TTS and Hc as well if required.

Don't get me wrong - I'm more than happy to play WAB. It's just that if I ever intend to use the figures for games other than with you lot I need to make sure they're suitable for other rules. My club unfortunately uses Impetus, despite my attempts to dissuade them, which would suggest multi-based figures, but I'm not going that route.

I like impetus. We never multibased as most guys had some form of DBX basing which worked fine.

Swordpoint seems quite popular but it also uses multiples of the WAB standard so if you base on 20x20 and 25x50 you can't go far wrong.
