Ok... All you MDF making chaps... If you have a model (building or vehicle or whatever) that has windows and they are just holes in the model... Do you leave them as holes? Cover the hole on the inside so you can paint the 'window' after? Or something else...
The fruits of your vast knowledge is sought...

I don't do glazing. Holes look good with a gun sticking through.

I'm not sticking my gun anywhere near your holes. Truth is glass is the first thing to go. If you are pre 1900, shutters were more common in rural areas.

It depends on how 'posh' i'm feeling. Usually I leave the opening as it comes but if I want something special I'll glaze the hole. (If I could make that sound more filthy i'd like to know how )

I think for buildings either would work. For a vehicle like a bus or maybe a plane you're unlikely to have figures inside so maybe cover and paint is better?
Re: MDF models and windows and stuff...
I've tried MDF vehicles, but never really liked them very much, so I've haven't actually finished one
Re: MDF models and windows and stuff...
Nope. Leave mine as is. Life is too short to glaze windows

Re: MDF models and windows and stuff...
I go for glazing with plastic and maybe gluing paper printed curtains behind that. There’s a slight risk that I store the buildings in the garages and I’ve had one or two react to damp/cold weather. Which is a bugger if they are downstairs and can’t be accessed for repair.
That plus Purp’s nice examples in the Ayton thread are tempting me to painted example. On the other hand, I quite like doing shop window displays so the retail outlets ought to get glazing.......and will they then fit in with painted. Is it all or nothing?
