Paint Storage

As often is the case, I’ve spent a lot of time recently looking at pictures of big racks.
But enough about that.
I see alot of storage racks where the paint is stored upside down, side wards, at weird angles. Surely your ‘drop pot’ should be kept upright? Or am I being precious? Is there danger of clogging your nozzle?

You should store them sideways and turn them 1/8 of a turn every day like the finest champagne

I have the Warbases ones for dropper bottles. Best results, I find, are when the bottles are stored upside down - the paint is nice and thick then. Currently storing them on their sides as I’ve run out of drawer space to have them upside down. I currently have nearly 4 full racks.

I store a lot of Vallejo upside down from time to time, I like to think it agitates the paint a bit. But the flip bottles? Never, they break and don’t fit well enough to be secure.

I tend to use the Battleflag racks (and a vegetable rack for the overflow!).

I store right way up in two of those splendid rotary racks supplied by Fred. I can't speak highly enough of them.

I drop a couple of ball bearings into the dropper bottles as agitators. Works splendidly.

With flip or screw tops you can scoop out a blob of the good stuff and wack it on a pallet. No probs.

I always store my paint in the plastic bottle they come in.
