Already done, I have seen a Mongols vs Celts set done with heavily converted subbuteo figures and a 28mm severed head for a ball.
I am going to try the new GW contrast paints on Saturday so I am prepping Space Marines and Imperial Guards (not French). I'm wondering if I will get thrown out if I take a Spartan or two...

Sounds like a Europa League game if Celtic qualified.

Re: What's on your workbench?
Just put together a Jagdpanther from GF9/Battlefront's Tanks range. No problems with the kit but, as usual, the instruction sheet is less than useful. It's a dual purpose kit, either a Panther or Jagdpanther. There's no explanation of all the different exhaust options but it's better than the sheet for the T34. That one didn't tell you which of the four gun barrels to fit.
Usually FoW's website has a decent assembly guide but it doesn't cover this one.

Re: What's on your workbench?
Couple of simple large corpses and a Little Rocky devil den type base Done to match my caulk mats.
Was really taken by Essex boys woods at his and Andys Ayton game so dug out my old railway bog trees that I was going to throw away. (Glad I didn’t, they’re like £3.50 each these days!)
Some of these trees I bought in the 90s so it’s good to rebase them! #bush history
Quite a lot more to do...

Really nice Purps, very Gilder-esque. What did you use for the bases?
