That's a spiffing green there, young Burt - was it a special mix or a proprietary brand, and if the latter, who makes it?

A quarter of this tin has done two coats on a 5' x 4'. The same paint is on the bases.....from a £1 tester pot.

Are you going for Merit trees and Triang rubber buildings or do you something else in mind.
The shade of Green does look good. I might have to pick up some testers and redo my figure bases.

Nah! Rubber buildings and Merit trees is too old school for me. I suspect Charles Grant's balsa wood houses will do me. Not sure about trees ........ sponge perhaps.

Thanks, EB. I have the 6' x 4' board from the wargames club I started at school, back in 1975. It has been "bowling green" (Dulux or Crown, can't recall) since it was made, over 45 years ago, and I think it's time for a makeover......

The airfix thatched cottage always made an appearance, bet you didn't know that Stalingrad was built from thatched cottages, country inns and un thatched thatched cottages.
