Desert Island Wargames
You are stuck alone on a Desert Island and you are allowed to take one book, one set of rules and figures for one period.
Mine choices are:-
Book: Charge or how to play Wargames
Rules: Piquet - as they are great for solo play
Period: My 20mm classic Napoleonics
I would also need unlimited stocks Whittakers Gin, Tonic Water and Ice.

Re: Desert Island Wargames
Books: Sumption's 5 vol work on the 100 Years War (after Fred's finished with them)
Rules: Lion Rampant
Figures: all my medievals.
That's quite a big box and I'm not taking the bible or Shakespeare so underneath it I'll smuggle:
Books: Christopher Duffy - The '45
Rules: CoC
Figures: all my 1940 forces in 20mm so they'll fit unobtrusively under the medievals
And because I refuse to be ruled by arbitrary boundaries and because the BBC know what's good for them:
Books: Livingstone and Witzel - The Road to Crecy
Rules: Fire and Fury
Figures: all Neanderthal's ACW 15mm (I don't have enough).
And my luxury will be a 12x6 table. And a comfortable king-sized bed. And a pipeline to the Isle of Islay.
