with the light dusting of snow bringing the UK to the edge of apocalypse its time to share your wintery wargame capabilities or plans.

I've always shied away from something that needs a dedicated set of scenery but high on my "maybe" radar is 1812 Retreat from Moscow for Sharp Practice.

One of the first games that really caught my interest in an early magazine was a Trenton game in a late 90s Wargame Illustrated. Always fancied recreated it in 20mm in a similar fashion.
I’m sure I’ll get round to it over the next 50 years.

I have thought about producing snow 'patches' on acrylic caulk which can be laid, either on the ground or on roofs.

I’ve got a 1814 project involving Prussians and French that is slowly rising back up the lead pile. The winter of 1813-14 was one of the worst on record and I was planning deep white fields and well frosted structures with very muddy roads criss-crossing it.

There’s also a Eastern Front 1944 20mm Project in the lead pile that was started 20 years ago with some very expensive painted figures from the chap who used to do all the SHQ advert painting. All I have to do is finish the tanks and the terrain, which was going to be a late-ish Autumn mix of brown vegetation and scattered snow/frost patches. It’s quite frustrating that I haven’t been able to finish this. I may go looking for a suitable mat in the New Year.
