I know that Gary knows BP inside and out, and if he's prepared to use his expertise I have no objection to BP on Saturday, but I don't want it to spoil his enjoyment of the weekend.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
Re: The Other ShedCon, 16/17 November 2019
I don't mind BP but 1st or 2nd ed?
Re: The Other ShedCon, 16/17 November 2019
BP it is then. 2nd edition, with ranges and movement 2/3rds of the rulebook and adding the 18th century adjustments from the Last Argument of Kings supplement.

Thank you all.
I really want to learn BP.

Re: The Other ShedCon, 16/17 November 2019
Sorry to hijack the thread ever so slightly, but can I just clarify something about BP 2nd Edn? I was told (very authoritatively) at Partizan 1 back in May, that the 2nd Edn had removed the evil "I can make three moves, then blast you off the table, and you just have to stand there and suck it up" rule; I was then informed, by several people, that that rule was still in being and had not been removed at all.
Which is it?
(Asking for a friend, obviously......)

Hasn’t been removed. Well that being said, to fire successfully you can only move twice (from memory - it’s been several months since I played)
Re: The Other ShedCon, 16/17 November 2019
That's true on the main rulebook, but the 18th century supplement has an additional rule which says you can't fire if you move more than once

And is that in the Napoleonic version as well? (I ask, because a few Partizan's ago, I was essentially knocked out of a game on turn 1 when my opposite number leap-frogged - rather appropriately, as he was French - across the board, and then shot me to bits, without me having the opportunity to move or even shoot back.)
