Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Thanks. Back to painting.... finally. Spent the weekend hobby time getting back into the groove. So, experimented with some CP on some Naismith 15mm Aztec/Conquistador figures. These seem well suited to the medium, as they've got deeply cut, fine detail.
And did some test figures for GNW Saxons. I may even like painting these more than the Baccus SYW. Intending to stay focused on Fred and the boys, but will continue to work on these and the Swedes when the mood strikes me.

Wonderful - those grenadiers in photo 4 look like little Christmas elves!

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Cheers.
Based the first group of Aztecs, tho need to select some flock to finish dressing the base. Pretty pleased with this CP experiment so far. And they really did paint quickly. I'm finding that when I try to use these on 28s, I end up trying to create some sort of watercolor masterpiece and fiddling with getting even coverage, so not really a time saver. More of an entirely different painting technique.
At this scale, much less attention required. I'll keep working on these a bit at a time between my more substantial 6mm stuff. Not sure what rules I'll end up using, but basing a la the Impetus convention for aesthetics.
