I'm known to dip the tip (of my brush, of course) in quite a few pots. Mostly got the SYW and GNW on the go, and now have an inexplicable interest in the Sixth and Seventh Morean Wars. This have replaced my desire to paint up forces for the War of Jenkins' Ear.

Under the evil influences of the Barons War Kickstarter and LT I stopped my buildings project, went to my leadpile and found 12 medieval slingers. I also decided to try out the GW contrast paints for the hoods, tunics and leggings but not the flesh and equipment.

Just spent a pleasant (if somewhat cold) 3 hours resurrecting 6 TSS tiles I acquired from a local wargamer who was giving them away.

Brown paint to hide the white chips etc. Then lots of dry brushing with emulsion paint. I used 3 match pots from Wickes or Wilko. Total cost £5 for paint and the petrol to collect.



Had to disguise the more serious dents with a bit of sand on 3 of the tiles but I think it looks OK.



I already had two of these. Now I have 8: enough for an 8' x 4' table. Now all I need is a room big enough (I wish).
