It would appear that the bank holiday in 2020 is actually the following weekend, withe the Friday (VE day) being the bank holiday, not Monday 4th. Does that mean we need to have Ayton from Thursday evening, 7th May, until Sunday morning, 10th?

Yes, that's spot on, Mark.

We discussed this in June and you asked for confirmation that 1 - 3 May was OK. Everyone who responded agreed to that weekend.
