Assembling artillery.

Lots of spindly bits with tiny contact surfaces to be glued, and a bugger to balance ‘til they set.
Lots of fiddling to get everything lined up straight so you don’t come out with wonky wheels and a skew-wiff barrel.

I do not enjoy this process.

You are right. Plus they are a faff to paint. There’s nowhere on the model to hold it properly. And painting spokes is a nightmare.

Agreed. Chariots are just as bad.

I end up gluing them to the base and using an old, stuffed brush on the spokes. Ramming it in angrily and thrashing it about as hard as I can. Very reminiscent of Purps and the way he uses his dildos actually.

This is where I love two part expoxy resin. Just have to secure stuff in place til it sets. I tend to get the gun stuck on a base from the off, sometimes crew too depending on how tight they're packed in.
