Well I've given up on settling on a scale for WW2...

So whereas I want to find a 15mm rules set I like, I'll be continuing with my 20mm CoC campaign which I am loisng badly.

And finishing off my 28mm Chindits for Bolt Action.

My Grand Plan is to get the local Warhammer mob playing the new edition of Saga when it arrives.

One of my favourite sets of rules is Fire and Fury and while I’ve gamed a lot of ACW I always thought that I’d like to do a European war with them. And those nice chaps at Wyre Forest have a adaption for the Wars of Italian Unification and that nice Mr Vexillia is my supplier for the 15mm hard stuff from Italy and there’s a nice package under my Christmas twig. So that will be definetly started in 2018.

And finished before the 200th anniversary!
I have a modest lead pile of the Lancashire Games 1859 figures which I'm itching to have a bash at. I bought a sample cavalry regiment of this period from Mr Vexillia and they are smashing....and not too dissimilar in size to LG. And, what's more, I've been poking my nose round the Wyre Forest site because I too think BF&F is super.....duper in fact. I have the mark II edition, but I must say that I'd like to get hold of a copy of those '1859 Grand Strategy' rules if only for the background stuff.

Happy to compare notes for post Ayton.

As usual, I have more projects on the go than I could possibly complete in ten years, let alone 1. However, I'm hoping to achieve the following this year:

. More French SYW. I've got another 4 units of infantry and 1 of cavalry complete before the club can have another crack at Minden.
. Some Prussian SYW - need a few to stand in as Hessians for Minden
. Maybe some Hanoverians, if I can't convince some other mug to paint a few.
. I was hoping to do a couple more units of Les Higgins WSS for ShedCon, but that's looking unlikely
. Finish my first ECW regiment in 28mm. I only started it 2 years ago . . . .
. Some more WotR figures, because they have pretty flags.
. DEFINITELY finish my Sudan stuff. I've only got a dozen or so figures to complete the Suakin field force for El Teb. I may actually be able to tick off a project as 'finished' - that's never happened before, ever!

Oh, and start Western Desert in 20mm. I hope.
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.

That's the one.

Many thanks, but I've just ordered them from Caliver......along with the F&F variant........I blame you. I'm not taking any responsibility for that impulse purchase. When I got up this morning 1859 was the last thing on my mind. Who sowed the seed, heh?

I haven't decided what my plans are yet but I do know that I mustn't start anything new and must avoid Indian Mutiny (Iron Duke Miniatures) and the WSS like the plague
