Re: What's on your workbench?
Industriously painting my Red Devils, bought years ago and sat in the paint que. New found love of WWII gaming has put me in gear to finish the large led pile of WWII stuff. Also built and basd my Finns today to face off the snow suited Russians on the way in the post. Hope to have a snowy game at the club with all their snow scenery next year.

I have always been a testors dullkote/clearkote man. But they were out of gloss stock and recommended the tamiya stuff, and it is pretty dogs dangly bits. I cant speak as to its yellowing resistance.I

You can spend a fortune on brand names or grab the spray cans from the middle of Lidl when they have them in. As I'm 65 and they live in boxes any yellowing issues will be someone else's problem.

Little Britons have to be buffed to a high gloss shine so intense that any flash photography used upon them can inadvertently blind passers by !

In the end, I've just gone with lashings of Humbrol enamel gloss varnish, brushed on lovingly. First time I've actually brushed on varnish in decades! Very shiny.

Re: What's on your workbench?
I was going to say it’s been discontinued, as that’s what I’ve been told by 3 model shop staff in the last few years, in fact GM gave me his last tin as I probably looked inconsolable.
But it is available:

There are now scenes of wild jubilation at Troop Towers - it is the best Matt varnish ever and my Christmas list is now complete
I get lockdown, but I get up again.
