I sold him the unpainted figures. There simply wasn't an opportunity to buy them back before he ruined them.

I bought a box. I couldn't help myself as they're stunning figures. I can get a 'firing line' battalion out of them (with flag, to represent the Grenadier Garde: http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php? ... dier_Garde).

The leftover 21 figures can go into the Bits Box.

Our SYW-gaming has been in a disgraceful hiatus ever since the Show game of 2015. I'll get these chaps painted & try to kick off a couple of games next year.

I'm sure they'll look splendid, Donald. Why didn't you buy two boxes?

I have a request.

I'm sure I recall seeing pictures of your outstanding SYW show game. Why not post them here so that we can all enjoy your collection?

Two reasons.
One. I'm Scottish &, hence, careful with the siller.
Two. Two boxes of figures essentially not needed, would provide 2 units....& 42 unused figures. It's the lack of command figures (or a reasonable substitute: metal or plastic) that stymies the Zvesda set.

(BTW "careful" not "mean". Only the denizens of Aberdeen are truly parsimonious.
eg In a recent letter to an English newspaper, an Aberdonian wrote, "If you print any more jokes about mean Scotsmen I shall stop borrowing your paper."

What the gentleman from Aberdeen did not mention was that he had never read the headlines because the previous user had used it and flushed it.
