That sounds like a good idea about the sand/polyfilla mix, though I would be worried that an accidental knock would leave a truck shaped lump of polyfilla on the table...

Add some PVA to the mix for extra stickiness if you're worried abut that.

I'm also going to insert a wooden block into the chassis...

I had some old airfix trucks of a similar tyle and I found that bulk filling with a 50/50 mix of sand and polyfilla followed by a milliput skin on the bottom worked well and left them identical in heft to resin trucks.

Good ideas both and I may combine the two as the wood should give the filler something to "grab".

Finished a Rubicon T34/76 I've had in the tank box a while. After watching some really useful youtube videos on painting tanks I've got a real tank mojo going. Sponge painting is the way forward!

Today I have chamfered the edges on about 30 scenery bases and drilled and inserted 100 plastic bamboo stems. That's about 8 bases worth. I need to locate a source of gravel, and then it's the rest of the jungle.
