Do you ditch the old when you trade up?

Post by Norman D. Landings »

Got some airbrush metallics a while back - my plan was to 'use up' my existing open pots of brush metallics, and phase in the new as the old ran out.
Problem - the rate I paint, these current metallics could take months to finish.
I might just ditch them... thoughts?

No. You'll find that there's always an odd spot to touch up at some point. SWMBO points out that the same applies to makeup...

Start using the new shiny paints immediately but never throw anything away.

You put the new paints in with the old and very shortly you'll forget you bought them.....then you can buy them again or, get even newer, more shiny stuff....which you can add to the pile........

And then sell them to Andy for a discount and buy them back at a premium?

I've just been through my old Tamiya piants and ditched three of them as they had dried beyond rescuing but I'm left with around 30 that I have no use for, having moved on to other brands. What to do with them?
