Well apparently those two in the York Hotel did have that 'Orrible virus thing & yesterday evening I saw a Chinese looking lady walking along with a face mask thing on her chops. Other than that, everyone seems OK. See you' s at the show, midday at the bar, if not before. 🕛

A bit premature Jezza, the House of Lords hasn't moved there yet.

Very restrained today. Aside from some magnetic sheeting, my only purchase was the new Warbases Limes Tower got our dark ages and ancients games.

I was also restrained. I bought two Numidian Elephants from 1st Corps, bargain at a tenner each and they're lovely. Bought some nice brushes from the nice brush man, a couple of supports for my paras from the B&B and thats about it other than the usual paint, bases and magazines.

Good to see you all! On walking home I seem to have come down with a terrible flu. See those of you who survive at Ayton soon!?

Yes, was great to see you all again. Jamie and I barely escaped the city limits before the men in hazmat suits with rifles erected the barricades.

The only thing good about Vapnartak is that I get to meet a bunch of you chaps, and to spend some time in York. Always well worth the journey.
Salute remains the best of shows, I'm sure you'll all agree.

Iain is correct, square on. Good weekend was had, partyed gently on Friday evening, missed the apocalypse Saturday morning, trotted over to York Saturday dinnerish time & had a romantic steak with Norman, met up with EB & CB & Mrs CB at the Tap, which was many many miles from our hotel (the Hilton, by Clifford's Tower). After avoiding people in face masks, we had another slurp and a cheeky 1am curry back at the hotel. Sunday was a large breakfast, followed by a logging, then orf to the show. York is always good, but I worry it may have got into a rut - it's beginning to feel a bit the same each year. Perhaps it's just me. My only purchase was some mdf bases from Pendraken, for STS. We had a pleasant meet up with the chaps again at midday in the bar, along with Tim, Mark, J&J, and Phil. And some others! Phil had a particularly nice jacket on, it has to be said. Left the show about 1ish - I'd been round it all, seen it, didn't want anything else, myself & Norman trotted to York Castle Museum for a couple of hours, saw the Victorian Street & WW1 section, along with the rest of it. After tea & sandwiches, off home we went. All good, and good to see you chaps again.
