I am as from tomorrow working from home until who knows when. As I can spend many hours a day on conference calls I have decided I am going to multi task - and paint my classic Napoleonics at the same time.

The only slight drawback is it looks like the boss will be working from home Wednesday onwards, while I shall merely be 'between jobs', and therefore unlikely to be allowed the luxury of idleness such as painting dollies.

I do have a 28mm Medieval Welsh army known as the Shingles Army because I painted it in a 2 week isolation period back in the 80’s.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

My abiding memory of having Shingles was the pharmacist handing me a bag of anti-virals the size of horse tablets telling me rather loudly "Get yourself home, you don't want to be wandering around with that" which at least made my exit from the shop easier...

I'm self-employed and, whereas I've had a tolerably good winter, my traditional summer work does depend on the tourist trade (giving environmental advice to holiday parks) so life is a teensie bit stressful.

But, I have a cellar full of things to paint - starting with the Cruel Seas Italians.

Fortunately Gwynedd has no cases yet, although some poor sod from Anglesey is in our local hospital with it.

But living in the arse end of nowhere has its compensations...

Note that Army Painter stuff is, I think, made in Italy. Just saying.

I'm going to learn how to edit videos and bung them on my Youtube channel. I just hope the world is ready.

I am doomsday prepping, laying in a supply of wire spears and bases. In further signs of the end of days, I went into the shed, (which has a very seriously leaking roof at the moment) and unearthed a very soggy cardboard box, which was full not only of spiders eggs and mould blooms, but also my Milanese 15mm project which was hurriedly thrown (almost literally) into the last box as we fled [del]the roof of the American Embassy[/del].. oops.. Canberra.

And now - as the wire spears I used have virtually rusted through, I have a nasty job cleaning rust off the figures. It's almost tempting to throw them in a vinegar bath and then strip them and start again - except I have painted all of the horses.

Although I’m working from home for the next week and a bit, it’s unlikely I’ll have much hobby time. I have the kind of job where I can work from anywhere

Technically, from Wednesday I am 'between jobs' but the contracting market is currently as dry as a dead dingoes' donger, so it looks like I could be not working at home for a while.

For those of you with 18th Century interests (or even those without, but too bored to care) here is some reading matter:-
