Having finally been "rested" from my job, I thought a break from assembling & painting Prussian SYW figures was in order.
I decided a wooded area might be useful for any European conflict but particularly as a place to hide my ECW Highlanders who, are vulnerable to Horse but if allowed to charge out of a Wood, can be quite nasty.
At any rate, from tree to rocky outcrop: all my own work.

In that last photo it looks as though a HUGE bird has shat in the wood. I'd clear that up before it sets hard.

A perfectly sylvan little glade, needs a picnic basket.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

That's a very large potato in the last photo, so your highlanders won't starve whilst they're hiding in there. The path looks very neat and well tended though, which should stop them getting lost.
OK, enough with the negative waves - good first effort, presumably you intend to make more? As constructive criticism, maybe vary the tone of the green a bit more next time.

Possibly not: I'm out of some of the materials.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:44 am - good first effort, presumably you intend to make more? As constructive criticism, maybe vary the tone of the green a bit more next time.
I actually used 3 colours of flock, as recommended by the Terrain Tutor but the photo doesn't really show it.

Ah, fair enough - I'm only getting a few splodges of the darker hue at this end.

The "potato" has sentimental attachments. I picked it up from the house I was born in, in Glasgow.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:44 am That's a very large potato in the last photo, so your highlanders won't starve whilst they're hiding in there.
It is just possible it is a petrified tottie from my Ma's eternal mince 'n totties.

Those are either tiny skateboarders or that’s a massive skateboard. Especially as those are very close while the skateboard is far away.
