What scale next?? 10mm or 6mm?

Post by Jamanicus »

Could do with some thoughts/advice on what scale to 'invest' in next.

I really fancy getting into another scale, not only scratch an itch, but to give the option of maybe doing some more connected games of differing scales in a larger campaign 😀

I loved the look of the AWI game EB and CB played at last year's Ayton. What scale was that??

I think I'd feel a little daunted doing 6mm (just so small) but feel 10mm might be just enough detail to try to pick out, but not too intricate to take a absolute age painting a decent sized force.

What periods/scale do some of you guys have and what would you suggest, so we could use together at some point??

Cheers J

COTOTS does not recognise other scales than 6mm, although Leon's tasty 10mm porn has me thinking blasphemy.

10mm. I did start down the route of Italian Unification via 10mm, the figures were beautiful and more importantly, still visible.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

8.5mm - trust me, it's going to be big.

Well Baccus are technically 7.1 mm. Go 6mm, the mass effect is stunning done well.

Multiply the 7.1mm by the 6mm and you get 42.6mm. Gloss varnish and Bob's your uncle.

May I please be the first pedantic git to point out that none of these are scales.
