I seem to be getting bombarded just now with email etc about Mortem et Gloriam.
I have no idea what it’s like from a Wargaming point of view but it seems very poor Latin to me. Surely it should be Mors et Gloria? No reason for being in the accusative, no preposition (ad mortem et gloriam would make sense).
Anyone have the Latin to put me right?

Not got my Kennedys to hand but I agree. I thought it might be a truncated quote but I can't think where it might be from. I would have thought mors aut gloria to be a better title. I suppose you could use the accusative to indicate an abstract noun but it is a bit odd without poetic license.

O tempora, o mores!
You'll note, I've used an exclamation point - unknown to the Romans - so strictly speaking wrong.
However, “When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’

South Americans speak a language about as close to Latin as North Americans do to dark age Saxon.
