The current situation means that I've been painting (and buying) Napoleonics at an unprecedented rate, so here are some Brunswickers, Cossacks and other odds and sods that have recently been moved from the lead-pile to the Active Duty List:

Lovely, the Austrian Hussars are one of my favourite uniforms. My one regret is that AB do campaign uniforms with coveralls.

Yeah, I know... :( There are some frustrating gaps in AB's range.

Nice stuff Mark
The biggest gap in the AB range I think is Russian infantry in Greatcoat

I thought they'd done those. The frustrating bits for me are niggling little bits that you need for complete units, such as Duchy of Warsaw cavalry elite companies, or odd units and troop-types to complete armies, such as Saxon/Late French horse artillery, Confederation infantry elites in bearskin, and French-type hussars in full shabraques rather than sheepskins (which would be good for Saxon, Spanish or Baden hussars or Young Guard Chasseurs a Cheval). Most of these could be produced with a simple head-swap (simple for Mr B, that is - not me).

Yeah, I've got a single pack of BH Pavlovskis in greatcoat sitting here somewhere.

Ah, to satisfy my curiosity, I've gone to have a look at the AB site and see that they do the Early Russians in greatcoat, but not the Late Russians. That's why I thought they did them.

I've been photographing some long-forgotten units in my wargames armies. I did these about 20 years ago and I don't think they've ever seen a game!

I just put a piece up on my blog about rules collecting and usage. What's your PtoP ratio?
