Does anyone use Newline 28mm ancients? I'm looking for some variety in my Trojan armies, to go alongside the Foundry and Redoubt stuff I already have. Wondered if anyone knows if Newline are a) any good and b) of a compatible size

Thanks muchly

Yes on compatible to Foundry size. They are nice if slightly plain sculpts, but a lot better cast than Foundry ones.

Needless to say, I'm a big fan of Newline's 10mm and 20mm figures. I bought some 28mm hoplite command types a few months back. Very nicely designed figures and well cast.

I have some of their 28mm ancients and the light troops tend to be in quite open poses which makes them easy to re-pose for that irregular horde look. Well worth a look for filling out the ranks.

Do trojan make chariots? Funny synergies in the two businesses.

If you're not in a desperate hurry, Newline tend to have a couple of 20/25% sales each year.......not that they're expensive in the first place.
