I bought & am reading a book on painting figures. This one:

It's really very good but at this stage, the only purpose it serves is to tell me what I've been doing wrong all these years. Though I think you could tell that from the photos I've sent!

I bought this book a few years back. It’s an excellent guide I think.

Every now and then I give it a re-read to refresh techniques I’ve forgotten about.

Some would buy that book to improve their technique. Me, I'd buy it if I was contemplating slitting my wrists.
