The Swedish shortage was manpower rather than powder, hence trying to avoid attritional battles.

Is this genuinely your opinion or are you just messing with us to corner the metals stocks?
If it's the former, how do you stop the paint falling off?
I've tried all the usual suggestions, short of washing the figures in the urine of Geordie Virgins (impossible to find), so would be grateful of some advice.
Also are some brands plastics more susceptible to paint flake than others? (I've been looking sideways at some Zvezda boxes since this thread started).

Well, good question. I think I was serious when I wrote that, but now I remember the main reason I started the WSS/LoA project was the availability of the Les Higgins range. I must admit that seeing Donald's splendid collections, which are mostly 1/72 plastic, makes me yearn for a plastic army of my own.

Donald is really your man re painting plastics. He swears to me that no paint has ever flaked from his toys - he's a very clever fellow and can probably suggest the best source for your urine. My best advice was always to wash the plastic in bleach........it sort of etched the surface ready for the paint.

Over to Donald.............

Ps Zvezda are gorgeous, big, but gorgeous (25mm). They are also moulded in a stiffer plastic......I assume they still are.......so you shouldn't have a problem with flaking.

Thanks for the answer, i'll await Donald passing by :)
Zvezda might be a bit too big to bother with then which might be both a curse and a blessing :( :)
