Re: The Count's Gallery
I've seen differing opinions on the colour and how it was new and how it changed and stuff from re-enactors. I went for the greener option. Preferred it. It has a brown wash over it to tone it a bit... At least it wasn't blue...

Presumably the Germans are approaching on the other side of those trees?

Re: The Count's Gallery
I believe that the WW2 tone was a development of the colour of the BD issued to Colonial troops in WW1 which wqs almost identical to British Army khaki. However, the French being the French, they absolutely could not give it the same name as that used by les rosbifs, so instead they called it "moutard".

I used the Crusader figures mainly, and was very happy with them, I mixed in some Warlord, but generally only crewed weapons and specific teams. The ranks and file from Warlord look a bit spindly compared to the well fed Crusader guys.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 11:54 am Very good - are these the Warlord figures? Any idea how well they mix with the Crusader range? I'm looking to the latter for the bulk of my Tirailleurs Senegalais platoon, who will be wearing helmets, and just a couple of Warlord guys in fez with the dreaded "coup, coup" to remind me to give them their fisticuffs bonus.
IIRC the AT Rifle team are Warlord -
And the Snipers in the background

Them's rather tidy...
As you say, Crusader a bit chunkier but once on the table who cares. It's not like they're Dixon or Minifigs...

The Warlord A/T rifle team does look smaller, doesn't it. But as someone said, they aren't Dixon or Minifigs so shouldn't stand out too much - thanks for sharing that, looks like a nice force.Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 12:14 am I used the Crusader figures mainly, and was very happy with them, I mixed in some Warlord, but generally only crewed weapons and specific teams.
