Keep the Grenzer next to the grenadiers and nobody will suspect that they are 15/18mm interlopers.

A good month's work
Except for the two hussars to do, that's me finished with the SYW.
Until/if someone releases sets of SYW cavalry, I have enough figures painted & converted for , I hope, a half dozen battles over the course of the year.
So no more inflicting poorly painted figures on you lot!
I *may* have mentioned we've written our own rules for the period: 'A Glorious War'.
Nothing too special but we like them....even though I periodically tweak them.
I was thinking about a major revision in terms of command & control. In essence, I'm thinking about stealing Dave Brown's H&M mechanism of activated/non activated & ADCs & a menu of bonus actions & grafting it on. We use his Napoleonic & ACW rules & very much like this feature. It would not be hard to come up with a SYW-specific menu of actions & the ramifications on the existing morale & C&C rules could be managed.
So....is it moral to do this? I don't ask about legal because there is no way AGW will be used by any one else but we 6 so there's no money changing hands. However, I'm rather cursed by a desire to 'do the right thing' even if no-one is watching.
I think "every" rules writer in history has borrowed mechanisms from other rules if they find them handy. The 'BKC' series for example use mechanisms based on Warmaster'. I don't see why it should be a problem, particularly as you're explicitly acknowledging the source.
Or even ask DB himself. I think he's occasionally over on TWW.
