That'd stop people crushing figures with their beer belly.

Yes they did, however Shah was asking about force composition for the current set and there are no chariots in the Gallic lists

That kind of defeats the point of plastics. I also think Victrix look a bit static. By the time I’ve gone to the effort (and cost) of buying metal spears, taken the time to drill the plastic ones out, then assemble them, and hope the pose looks realistic, I’d rather just buy some of the wonderful metals available.

The only reason I look at plastics for skirmish gaming, is the ability to play with the poses easier than metals.

Thanks for all that Jeremy, Yes, I am aware that Gauls had stopped using chariots by the time period for Infamy, but as they were entirely interchangeable with Britons for the usual warriors (woad and limewashing notwithstanding) I was planning on a force that could double as Britons and Gauls. Add in Gaesati and some archers (for Gauls) slingers (for Britons) and you;re good to go.

I'm also trying to figure out what a German force would look like. But that's ok, I've already watched the TFL videos, but maybe a re-watch is on order.

First time on record that you’ve refused to drill a group of soldiers

The hands are rather small to drill for pilum replacement and to be honest I don't know if I can be bothered. I know Aventine miniatures are pretty good so I'm going with them. Not sure where I am getting my Britons from though.

And of course a pilum is not just a wire spear replacement job.

I have Persians to do long before I think about Gauls, Spanish or woadwagers.

Foundry of Aventine. The best choices IMHO
