Having skimmed through the pdf I think this could be the Lardies finest work. I'm not always a fan and didn't like CoC at all but this looks good! I think it's going to be around a while with lots of supplements, keen for the Carthage one.

I also think it's a cumulative thing with lessons learned from SP2 and CoC. The Fervour thing is a brilliant game mechanic.

I also thought that there were sections in there that very much reminded me of more 'formal' less 'Lardie' sets, like terrain generation, more explicit points values and much tighter definitions on close combat, flank attacks, formations and so on.

I'm very happy with the read through, and I can't wait to play it.

yes, second book is Punic, spain and stuff, third is dacians and probably parthians and other eastern actions.
