You're letting reality intrude again! Well, it's almost totemic - so I think I will see what I can come up with - one of those with an incanting Druid on top maybe... :)

Weathering rates are interesting, and harder to measure than most people realise. The world's highest weathering rate is in the Star Mountains of PNG where, with 10-12 metres of rain a year, in steep country, slightly over 1mm per year is attained. That would barely be enough to expose the stones in 2500 years. Could we push it back 1000 years?

Pffft! A mere shower in West Wales...

One site that's interesting is a place (now) called Bedd Arthur (Arthur's Tomb), which is right on top of the ridge of the Preseli Hills. It appears at first glance to be an oval-shaped stone circle of relatively small (2-4 foot) stones. However, the stones are all leaning inwards. What it was originally was a burial mound - the stones were all planted leaning inward, so that they were presumably lying flat against the outer face of the mound. However, the mound has been completely washed away and all that's left are the stones.

Interesting stuff. Still, maybe this particular set of rocks is under construction, and therefore exposed. (Otherwise, why would you need a Menhir delivery man?)

If I do make it out of actual pebbles, I have just realised it is going to be challenging to stick a druid on top. Adapt and overcome.

Bricks? What primitive peoples use such things when real homes are made from stone?

How can you possibly fly bricks?! They don't channel the vibes.
