I know, some of you were thinking wenches, others were thinking beer, one or two were thinking pies.
Anyways, I was thinking, how many things do you have going on on your painting table at once?
I tend to start the basics on the next project before I've finished the current one, so that it's ready to go. Whilst I'm finishing the glossing on my S/Smith 30mms, I've also glued & undercoated my 42mms, ready to base then paint whilst the gloss on the others is drying. Done the same with a unit of 30mm 18thC, so that if I'm on a roll, I'll have something to be getting on with whilst the other is drying.
So that's only three ongoing, how about yer selves?
How many at once?

Truly on my desk? Four different ancient British units and three different Beastman units.
Does not include half painted units from other periods in the cupboard that I shall return to.

Jeez, you guys make me feel all virtuous. In the days when I painted, it was one thing (unit, village, group of trees, etc) at a time. I must paint Heinkels and Hurricanes before Christmas.

Re: How many at once?
I seem to be more focussed as lockdown goes on.
On the painting table:
28mm Caesarian Romans - 9 figures
In the undercoating booth:
28mm Victorian Gothic - last 20 figures
In the clean-up workshop:
28mm Caesarian Romans - (probably) last 24 figures - mostly shock marker casualties. I do have a bunch of unarmoured legionnaires that I might paint or sell. Decisions, decisions.
28mm German tribes - literally the last 3 figures needed.
In the ‘staring at me in a provocative way’ under the workbench holding capability:
28mm WotR cavalry

I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Those latter will give the Romings a run for their money.
