The Lynx will probably be a scenario specific beast...we had air support last time around but never showed any aircraft on table.
I might get a brace of the M8/M20 kits for the Escudans if I can find 'em cheaply enough.

Well this all escalated quickly. As it does in Kumbahyah. I'm currently training up a faction of US supplied South American regulars (think Cubans in Angola but with US gear).

Aircraft played a key part in the last game and we can continue with that, especially with supply. My favourite scence in Danger Close is where they bank the hueys to tip out the ammo boxes to the troops below.

Shall we pencil in Oct 2021?

That could work nicely. Jungle action one day and shiny soldiers on the other.

Sounds like a plan.
I will have three different 'factions'. So if anyone wants to play who doesn't have troops I can provide a force.
[EDIT: Just scored the three vehicle box of M8/M20s from Warlord for under £40 so that's some transport and support for a few of the Colonial 'Escudans' :) ]

Gents, there may be some points lists in the scenarios to balence things up. We can table up what we like but I'm concious to avoid a masacre too quickly so a bit of force balencing might be in order on the day.

Or small forces will just get more air support/juju magic/poison chimps.. whatever appropriate.

Best to avoid points systems as they can be both exploited and rarely are without issues even after years of fettling based on thousands of games, just ask any 40k players :D

Just find out who is bringing what and roughly balance the 'sides'. Perhaps have more obvious allies than before with similar aims? Obviously weight the numbers to reflect starting situations.
Redo the rules to represent the vulnerability of tanks in 'close combat' to shut down on their numbers and what we are left with is a few armoured cars and troops with transport. Aircraft models are largely fluff, helicopters transports with a bit of offensive capability. So nothing too overpowered to really worry about.

I would like to propose a house convention that "allies" do not RPG each others vehicles before turn 3.

You spoil all the fun!

I think it would be reasonable to have more obvious allies where their victory conditions are tied in so that if one loses the best the other can hope for is a draw etc... (Call it the Anti-Paul Convention :D )

All sounds good and gives us plenty of time to concoct a suitable Byzantine scenario. And get some more troops done ha ha.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
