Very nice painting.

There's a lot of arm waving going on.

I thought it was just their way of maintaining social distancing.

Took a break from painting Pointy Sticks to paint a test colour scheme on my Early War Falschirmjager. Figures are plastics, from Warlord Games. Not the best figures, but I’m quite happy with the overall result.

Good representation of my mind's image of field grey.

Ta. It was a long discussion as to whether they should be more blue grey for the period. Happy with the result.

I'm not sure if this was universal across all the German ground forces, and I suspect that someone more knowledgeable will chip in, but as I understand it, there were changes in colour between the 1939 (Poland) uniforms, the 1940 (France and the Low Countries) uniforms, and the 1941 (Soviet Union) uniforms - with a gradual move from a green grey towards a more grey grey over that period.

Regardless, they look very nice - I particularly like the guy with the ciggy hanging out of the corner of his mouth.
